Return of the Light
We made it through the year's darkest time, made even darker by the powerful solstice storm that left us all without power for several days!  We hope you were cosy and safe through it all and that you were nurtured by the holiday season.  

We're now into the quickening of the new year!  Though winter's wind and rain and storms may still come, we are now in the presence of the gaining light.  Now is the perfect time to dream into this next cycle, to plant the seeds in our imagination and hold intentions that can rest in the cold winter's soil until the perfect moment of germination.  

Here at Dance Temple we are imagining and anticipating all the ways our dance community will flourish in this next cycle.  We have many offerings in the works, and are excited to reveal them in the months to come!  

CURRENT EVENTS

Monday Evenings 
7-9pm, Beaver Point Hall, $10-15.   
Monday nights offer a sweet dance experience - there's often a core group of dancers and space on the dance floor to move and get creative.  It's perfect if you want to get your dance on twice a week!

Thursday Evenings 
7-9pm, Beaver Point Hall, $10-15.  
And of course, if you want to get swept into the wild energy of a full dance floor then this one's for you!

A Note About Children:
On Thursday evenings, we now have a playmate for the kids when they’re not up for dancing.  This is not a childcare or babysitting service – your kids are still solely your responsibility.  You are still required to keep an eye out for your kids and check on them regularly.  Dance Temple is offering compensation for this service, and in the spirit of acknowledgement and appreciation, we are also asking for tips /donations for the big energy this requires. We'd suggest 2-5$ per evening.  Thanks for helping us hold the diversity of our community in the dance!

SPECIAL REMINDER 
 
Dance Temple is a safe and sacred space that is intoxicant-free.  If you are partaking in any substances before you come to dance, please do so discreetly and be aware of any scent that you may bring with you into the dance space.  When we dance we are in a heightened state of sensitivity and we can strongly affect one another.

We look forward to all the magic we will create together as a dancing community here on Saltspring this next year, and the ripples that will resonate out to touch the greater culture.  We give thanks to all of you who continue to gather to dance and return to this Temple again and again.
